CAMRA North Herts is a branch of the national CAMRA organisation and consists of all members who live in the branch area. If you are a CAMRA member who lives in or around Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock or Royston (to follow the railway line!) or near the A10 from Royston to some way south of Buntingford, then you are a probably part of our branch. To see a map, follow this link to the CAMRA Pub Database, select “North Hertfordshire” as the branch and “Display on map” then click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
North Herts CAMRA are a mixture of male and female, young and not-so-young … all sharing a love of good cask-conditioned beer.
There are over 600 of us at the last count, and we’d love to see you on one of our pub rambles & minibus trips to visit pubs you might not otherwise try.
Volunteer at our festivals (it’s great fun being behind the bar, and you get a bit of a discount on the beer!) and, if you’re game, drop in to our branch meetings to see how the branch is run and have the opportunity to voice your own concerns about real ale in North Hertfordshire.
Just wondered what the beer of the festival was for 2014
Hello Liz, the beer of the festival was the Kiwi from Brodies, with Mokko Milk Stout from Summer Wine as the runner-up.
We’re trying to arrange a trip to Brodies for a presentation, probably not until November.
Do you need a good band for your 2018 Beer Festival? Jazz Revisited, a seven-piece,local, swinging band have entertained at several beer festivals. We play standards and jazz numbers and can arrange our programme to suit the event. As an ex-brewery man I may also find some useful raffle prizes.
I can be contacted by email or on 01582 621757.
Best wishes for a successful festival.
Sam Hall
Thanks for getting in touch, Sam. Both Stevenage & Hitchin are currently “quiet” festivals, so no music or other entertainment. I’ll pass on your details in case there’s any change to that policy. Thanks for the best wishes as well.
