The next edition of the Good Ber Guide needs YOU – CAMRA member.

Score Your Beers!
I know 2015 is a long way off but at the next Branch meeting & Social (8.15pm Monday 25th November in the GBG listed Standing Order in Stevenage) we will start the process of selecting those pubs good enough to go in the GBG. If you have beer scores you need to put into our Beer Scoring System database please do so ASAP, so we can see which pubs we need to visit. Also if you know of a pub that you think is worthy of inclusion in the Good Beer Guide and suspect it isn’t being regularly scored .

Call for Community Pub of the Year Nominations
As part of Month April 2014 we are seeking nominations for this year’s North Herts Community Pub of the year. These are pubs that support their local community through hosting sports clubs, supporting local charities, organising community events or just for being the centre of the local community. If you know of a pub that you think deserves this award please let me know by sending me a short paragraph explaining the reasons why by the 25th of January.

November mini-bus trip
To help members get out to more remote pubs to score beers we organise monthly mini-bus socials to our harder to reach pubs. This Saturday the 16th November we are going South of Hitchin visiting the Windmill, Plough, Red Lion (Breachwood Green) and the award winning Strathmore Arms. Pick-ups from 6pm onwards in Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock. £6 members, £10 non-members. There are still a few places left on the bus so if you want to come along let me know by Thursday evening latest.
