Our main aims are fundamentally promoting real ale, real cider and perry and the traditional British pub. We also encourage the production of uncommon beer varieties and traditional beer styles including stout, porter, mild, as well as traditional cider and perry.
Some of our campaigns include (but are not exclusive to):
CAMRA LocAle is an initiative that promotes pubs stocking locally brewed real ale. The scheme builds on a growing consumer demand for quality local produce and an increased awareness of ‘green’ issues.
Everyone benefits from local pubs stocking locally-brewed real ale!
Mild in May
CAMRA promotes Mild throughout May. We have encouraged pubs in our branch area to stock at least one Mild during May for the local pub-goers to try.
CAMRA Community Pubs Campaign
With 29 pubs are closing every week and some 40% of people no longer visiting pubs, CAMRA has to do more than ever to support local pubs through these difficult times. Building on the earlier Local Pubs Week, we support the Community Pubs Campaign. More information about the campaign can be found here.
