BOB is Original, not Old
Ah – oops! Original it is!
Hoping that Brown Cow Captain Oates Dark Mild is soon added to the list! That was my favourite beer from last year’s festival.
Hi Pete, I’m afraid it is a bit late to get the Captain Oates in.
I hope one of our other dark milds makes up for this lack! (Looking forward to trying the Summer Wine “Resistance” myself – and the Potbelly “Beijing Black” is an old favourite of mine.)
Current additions the list are:
- McMullen “Hope & Glory” (best bitter)
- Glebe Farm “Gladiator” (spelt beer)
- Glebe Farm “Hereward” (organic best bitter)
Plus one other “bitter” to be determined very soon I hope (it depends on what our local suppliers have in stock!)
In future if you’d like to suggest beers please pop along to a meeting – or contact us more than 4 days before the festival!
Always happy to take on suggestions – in fact the Northcote Jiggle Juice was suggested to us via twitter! (We’re @nh_camra by the way.) We didn’t even know Northcote existed! (Thankfully one of our suppliers – Wolf Brewery – knows them.)
It was me that requested Jiggle Juice on Twitter after sampling it at Cambridge!
I’ll be tweeting from Letchworth on Friday afternoon / evening. Pics and comments! @i_am_frolicols

As if by magic, the excellent Mold Food and Drink Festival this weekend also features Jean-Christophe Novelli, as well as a tempting Best of Welsh Bake-off open to all. Tweet [...]
